Knights of Columbus Fenton — April Update

A reminder to all that the Knights Hall is available for rent, and is an excellent location to hold a graduation open house, or any other gathering where you need good parking, great facilities, and ¢ clean, affordable, and accommodating location.

A continued reminder that as spring arrives, please consider donating your lightly used winter coats, hats, or gloves, to the Knights. We accept men’s, women’s, children’s and infant’s coats. This will help us to continue to serve those in need when fall/winter arrives. Items being donated can be put in the collection box which is in the coat room in the main entryway of the church, or you can call John Riester (989) 798-6046, and we will arrange to pick them up.

Congratulations to our March Knight of the month — Ken Claxton. Ken continues to lead our team with many activities and events throughout the year. Ken most recently led the operations in the kitchen for the Lenten Fish Fry — and as with everything Ken leads, the team performance was outstanding. We also thank Ken’s wonderful wife Johanna, for all her support as well. Congratulations as well to our March Family of the month — Ray and Shirley Russ. Ray and Shirley have been members of the Council and Ladies Auxiliary for decades and are very loved by all of us. Most recently, Ray and Shirley led the desert table portion of the Lenten Fish Fry, and the selection, service, beautiful smiles and hospitality Ray and Shirley provide, made this year’s desert entity — without exception the best. We are very blessed and very fortunate to have Ken, Johanna, Ray, and Shirley as part of our council family, parish, and community.

Lastly, we again welcome the members who have recently joined our Council and Ladies Auxiliary. New members allow us to continue to serve those who are less fortunate. It costs nothing to join, and details are available on-line at kofc.org (then look for the “join” symbol). Or you can call our Membership Director Rick Erickson at (810) 964-6211. There has never been a better time to join these great, energetic, and rewarding teams.
